"old-school" pronouncements
Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 11:11PM Here are some old-school things I used to say: "I will never text. I will never join Facebook. I will never tweet, and I will never start a blog." Welcome to my blog. I like to plant my flag in the sand of self-righteousness; then, five minutes later, I come to my senses. Of course I'm going to send a text saying I'm running late or text my kids to tell them to stop texting. Of course Facebook is the perfect place to sneak a peek at an old boyfr--I mean, keep up with friends. I haven't started tweeting yet, but I can see the benefits. What if Stacy and Clinton are in town to film "What Not to Wear?" I need to follow that hashtag, people.
So here I am, coming to you from my first blog post on my first-ever website.
I plan to keep things related to writing, to talk about the work I'm doing; the people, places and things that inspire me; and to share things I find "out there" that seem relevant to the conversation.
It feels a whole lot like talking to myself, but I am a mom who drives carpool. That feeling is nothing new.
